Skin Injuries in the NICU

Media Esser, RN, MSN, NNP-BC

Since neonatal skin is so fragile and immature, we have come to accept, and practically expect that every infant in the NICU will experience some skin irritation, breakdown or injury during their hospitalization. For these very reasons, clinical projects aimed at assessing, documenting, tracking and preventing skin injury is of up most importance.
In this one-hour webinar, Media Esser, will share with us the reasons why neonatal skin is at such increased risk for injury, what types of injuries are the most common, and will share practical strategies to prevent injuries and a few innovative techniques for managing them.

Available for Viewing until July 31st, 2016
