Adrian Lavery was born and raised in Washington DC. He attended university in the mountains of Virginia. He obtained his Masters in Public Health (MPH) in Law and Ethics at Boston University and then headed back to Virginia for medical school where he met his wife.
He completed his pediatric and chief residency at the Children’s Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio for his fellowship in Neonatology.
He and his four children live in Riverside, CA. He is currently on the academic faculty at Loma Linda Children's Hospital and is Director of the Neonatology Fellowship Training Program. He is the Principal Investigator for an NIH Study looking at antibiotics and abdominal infections in newborns. His interests include simulation training and ethical conflicts within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
